Fertile Nature

In the middle of the heart of Extremadura, between the meadows of Guadiana and the South Sierras, we find the Tierra de Barros, one of the regions with a most pronounced and representative personality of the region,

Whose exceptional conditions of fertility have turned it traditionally into a zone of extraordinary agricultural strength. Almost all its surface is covered of enormous fields of cereals, olive trees and, above all, vineyards, tidy with extreme regularity, forming a landscape of great beauty and harmony.
Over the southeastern end of the Baja Extremadura in the dividing line of Andalusia, we find the region of Campiña Sur. The countryside, the meadow and the mountain range alternate in a landscape full of contrasts. The Natural Monument of Mina de La Jayona en Fuente del Arco, the ZEPA Campiña Sur-Embalse Arroyo Conejos, the ZEPA Sierras de Jerez, ideal enclaves for the sighting of cranes and wintering period zone of steppe birds (bustards or little bustards).
